The POLYMOULD LV-laminating resin series are resins based on unsaturated polyester resin (UP) made from a polycondensation process consisting of polyhydric alcohols and aromatic dicarboxylic acids. The crosslinking takes place at room temperature based on a radical polymerisation. Using special fillers, UP-laminating resins shrink very little or not at all during curing. In GRP mould-making, the tooling resins can be applied in thicker layers than normal UP resins. UP resins can be used, for example, in hand laminating.
