Hemplizit® is a bio-based, functional filler made from hemp shives of industrial hemp plants. These are ground into a fine powder. It is available in two product lines: the HPE series (High-Performance Eco) and the SPE series (Standard Performance Eco).

As an innovative filler, Hemplizit® offers a more sustainable alternative to conventional fillers like carbon black or silica, as it can reduce CO2 content. Depending on the polymer matrix, up to 50% of the existing filler can be replaced by Hemplizit® without making changes to existing production processes. It is therefore a true drop-in solution.

Beyond sustainability, Hemplizit® offers a range of additional benefits:

• Lower density than carbon black (1.8 g/cm³ vs. 0.98 g/cm³)

→ Enables significant weight reduction in end applications.

• Excellent dispersibility

→ Ensures uniform distribution in compounds, ideal for rubber formulations.

• Mechanically active

→ Enhances elasticity and tensile strength, especially in combination with SBR, NR, EPDM, and other elastomers.

• Thermally stable, UV-resistant, non-hygroscopic

→ Suitable for outdoor applications and long-term use.

Successful tests have been conducted in SBR, NR, EPDM, NBR, butyl rubber and other polymers. Hemplizit® is already being used in various applications such as hoses, profiles, seals, conveyor belts and many other rubber applications.
