Exxpro™ Specialty Elastomers are brominated isobutylene paramethyl-styrene terpolymers (BIMSM) with outstanding properties. It offers a low permeability to gases and moisture, high damping similar to Butyl and a high temperature resistance. The ExxonMobil BIMSM product range with a greater heat stability compared to EPDM rubber is suitable for a wide range of applications like pharmaceutical stoppers, tire innerliners and curing bladders but also applicable for cocuring with a variety of rubber and helps the healthcare industry together with Exxon™ Halobutyl rubber to meet the ever-changing requirements related to cleanliness, drug compatibility, low extractables and leachable. Exxpro™ offers a range of polymer viscosities and cure responses, reflecting adjustments in functionality and additives content."
