From 1st July 2026, Biesterfeld will distribute the LUVOCOM® medical portfolio across Europe (excluding the Nordic countries), further broadening its portfolio for medical technology applications. High-performance compounds for demanding medical applications
The expanded portfolio comprises LUVOCOM® medical-grade high-performance compounds developed for applications where mechanical performance, durability and process reliability are essential. Depending on the selected grade, the compounds combine high mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance with biocompatibility and compatibility with established sterilization methods, including steam, ethylene oxide (EtO) and gamma irradiation.
The LUVOCOM® medical portfolio also includes tailor-made material solutions that can be adapted to specific application requirements. Additional options such as custom pigmentation, antibacterial properties and application-specific testing support manufacturers in addressing the diverse requirements of medical technology applications.
The materials serve a broad range of medical applications, including surgical instruments, orthopedic and dental devices, drug delivery systems as well as components for diagnostic and medical equipment. Across these applications, material performance, process reliability and regulatory compliance play an important role throughout product development

The expanded collaboration combines LEHVOSS' material expertise with Biesterfeld's technical consulting, regulatory understanding and established European distribution network. This enables customers to access not only specialized materials but also technical guidance throughout material selection and validation.
Biesterfeld supports engineers and developers in identifying suitable material solutions for demanding medical applications and provides guidance on regulatory considerations, including ISO 10993.
