Bordeaux Mixture is a fungicide that is a mixture of copper sulfate, lime and water. It is used for preventing bacterial diseases and infestations in vine fruits and tree fruits. The copper ions in the mixture stop the enzymes that the fungal spores need to spread, while the lime acts as a neutraliser.
