Biesterfeld, one of the international distributors for plastics, rubbers and specialty chemicals, will be exhibiting in its usual place at FAKUMA in Hall B4, Stand 4201. The distributor will be presenting its diverse portfolio of plastics and additives and making the in-depth specialist knowledge of its experts available to visitors.
New materials in the portfolio
Among the innovations that Biesterfeld is keen to inform its visitors about is the expanded portfolio of engineering thermoplastics with its partner Celanese, which has been supplemented by the Celanex® PBT, Celanyl® PA, Ecomid® Recycled PA, Frianyl® PA and Frianyl® PPA in addition to the existing mandates. The company will also present the biomass-balanced ABS solutions of its Asian partners, which are used in a wide variety of applications. Thanks to the acquisition of the TotalEnergies plant in Lavéra by INEOS, Biesterfeld can also offer its customers new random copolymers and nucleated PP homopolymers for medical applications. Together with long-time partner BASF, Biesterfeld will present two new Elastollan® product series that offer cost-efficient solutions for TPU applications: the 1400 and SP 96 series. Also new in the portfolio is Delrin® 51HSE, the latest generation of acetal homopolymers for high-performance plastic gears. Solef® PVDF from Syensqo, on the other hand, is available on the market again.
Sustainability and technical application advice
Sustainability will once again be an important focus of the trade fair appearance. The distributor's portfolio of resource-saving materials is growing continuously and includes a variety of materials ranging from standard polymers to high-performance plastics, including circular materials such as mechanically and chemically recycled plastics and bio-based and bio-circular materials. Biesterfeld would like to offer its consulting services to visitors in Friedrichshafen on the topic of sustainability and many others.
