Exxon™ Butyl Rubber is a copolymer of isobutylene and isoprene (IIR) with excellent air-barrier performance, good flex fatigue and vibration damping. It offers a low permeability to gases and moisture, low glass transition temperature, low compression set and wide vulcanization versatility. The ExxonMobil IIR product range with standard and minor grades is suitable for a wide range of applications like innertubes for tires, curing bladders and sports ball bladders, but is also applicable for adhesives, automotive vibration damping and protective clothing. It is available in different viscosities and different isoprene contents.
