Kai Froböse appointed new CFO of the Biesterfeld Group

The Supervisory Board of Biesterfeld AG, Hamburg, has appointed Kai Froböse as the new Chief Financial Officer. On 1 July 2020, he succeeded Christian Wolfsohn, who retired from Biesterfeld AG at the end of June 2020 after more than 14 years as CFO.

After graduating with a degree in business administration, Kai Froböse (43) worked for companies in the logistics, wind power and automotive sectors for 17 years. There, he held various management positions in the fields of finance, business development, purchasing and project management and accumulated extensive experience in international corporate structures as well as in family-owned companies.

Kai Froböse’s most recent position was as Managing Director of a logistics company. There, in addition to the operational areas, he was primarily responsible for the areas of Finance & Controlling, IT and HR.

“In Kai Froböse, we have found the ideal candidate for the position of Chief Financial Officer within our company. His expertise in matters of corporate strategy, his understanding of the culture of a family-owned company, and his extensive knowledge of finance and controlling are the perfect combination for his new role at Biesterfeld”, says Dirk J. Biesterfeld, Chair of the Biesterfeld AG Supervisory Board.

“The Biesterfeld Group is a successful company operating in various industries with huge growth potential. I am very much looking forward to supporting and driving forward the company’s growth course over the next few years, together with the Biesterfeld team”, adds Kai Froböse.
