Hamburg, 19 January 2026 – Biesterfeld, one of the leading international distributors of specialty chemical products, pharma and food ingredients, is pleased to inform that the Supervisory Board, upon the proposal of the Executive Board of Biesterfeld SE, has appointed Betti Heick as a new Member of the Executive Board, effective March 1, 2026.
“Betti’s appointment is part of a carefully planned and gradual succession process for Peter Wilkes, who will retire at the end of 2026”, explains Dirk J. Biesterfeld, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Biesterfeld SE. “Betti has been part of the Biesterfeld family for a long time and has established a broad, robust international network built on trusted relationships across the global Biesterfeld organization as well as with key external stakeholders. With her as a new member of the Executive Board, we will continue to significantly drive the future transformation of our strategic positioning in key markets and regions. Over the past 21 years, Betti has held numerous key positions within Biesterfeld, most recently serving as Global Business Director Consumer. She brings outstanding professional expertise and, thanks to her long-standing tenure, a deep understanding of Biesterfeld’s traditional heritage and future direction. In her new role, Betti will oversee the Consumer and Healthcare Business Units, the sales region Europe, as well as the Technology & Innovation cluster.
