Biesterfeld do Brasil was founded in 1976 and is active as sales and purchase agent on the Brazilian market. The company trades industrial chemicals and pharmaceutical raw materials like antibiotics, vitamins, amino acids, extracts food and feed additives. Furthermore, Biesterfeld distributes raw materials for the production of cosmetic products for hair, skin and sun care, shower and bath formulations as well as decorative and natural cosmetics.
The second subsidiary in Brazil, Biesterfeld Simko Distribution S.A., founded in 2015, distributes engineering polymers, styrenic polymers, acrylic polymers, standard polymers, elastomers, thermoplastic rubber and additives from its stocks in São Paulo and Santa Catarina. Biesterfeld Simko is providing support and technical service throughout Brazil. It also offers technical assistance in special compounds, materials processing and construction of molds, in order to optimize the customers' production processes.
