Quality Policy

In line with our company philosophy, we are committed to aligning the standard of our products and services with our suppliers, first and foremost, with customer satisfaction. This requires a high level of quality with continuous improvement, and our services are essential to this, aiming to be a leading partner for both our customers and our suppliers.
This results in our responsibility to:

· Treat our customers and suppliers with competence and in a unique manner;
· Consider economic, environmental, social, and safety aspects when prospecting and supplying innovative products to the market;
· Deliver products and services with the required safety and reliability;
· Comply with applicable legal requirements.

The Quality Management System is an essential component of the Biesterfeld Group's Corporate Governance structure. The purpose is to ensure that any deviation from the standards is detected in a timely manner so that it can be avoided. When it comes to non-compliance with company guidelines, standards, or procedures, these must be reported immediately so that appropriate measures can be taken.
The central element of the company's policy is to proactively ensure legal compliance and adherence to the key ethical values outlined in the Code of Conduct, which management is committed to upholding and serving as an example for the entire organization.

Aware of the need to preserve natural resources, we have reinforced our commitment to the Responsible Care program. With sustainability in mind, all employees must:

· Minimize the use of energy, water, and other natural resources;
· Reduce waste and emissions;
· Reduce the use of paper in daily activities;
· Adapt technical and safety standards relating to storage, production, and transportation to continuous technical developments, exceeding the minimum level defined by law.

The Biesterfeld Group has joined the UN Global Compact, a voluntary initiative of the United Nations, providing a clear message regarding human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption. Our efforts are documented in a Sustainability Report.
As part of the continuous improvement process, the analysis of relevant parameters identifies opportunities for improvement, which can be implemented through specific measures.
At our company, we seek to achieve these goals through:

· Motivated and engaged employees;
· Use of state-of-the-art processes;
· Use of modern management methods;
· Compliance with supply and service specifications.

To achieve these challenging goals, the Biesterfeld Group maintains and continuously improves its management system in accordance with ISO 9001.
Environmental and data protection aspects, as well as sustainability and occupational safety aspects, are adhered to by complying with the respective standards, such as ISO 14001 (environmental protection), ISO 45001 (occupational safety), DIN 23000 (social responsibility guidelines), and DIN 27001[1]. The goal is to take into account environmental and socioeconomic aspects and the impact of our activities in order to preserve the environment for future generations.
A key priority to be established is, above all else, to take preventive measures against immediate and long-term harm to everyone who uses our products. With regard to product life cycle management, this means that employees are responsible for products in all phases of use—from development to disposal—and beyond the limits of their standard activities.
In light of the obligation to provide customers with a permanent supply of plastics and chemicals, BIESTERFELD subsidiaries have been preparing for future changes in chemical legislation from the outset.

It is also clear that we care about social principles such as equality and individual autonomy. We highly value human rights and human dignity.
As all employees are aware of the negative impact of alcohol and drugs, we trust each person to act responsibly when dealing with these substances. This basically means that every employee must be constantly able to make informed decisions. In order to fulfill our duty to care for our employees and protect their health, a smoking ban has been agreed upon at Biesterfeld headquarters.

Management encourages a corporate culture that promotes a positive attitude toward one's own tasks and cooperation, and exemplifies the content of these guidelines.
The personal commitment of each individual to maintaining this spirit improves the company as a whole and also serves the legitimate interests of stakeholders and benefits all parties involved.
