Carsten Harms, Member of the Executive Board of the Biesterfeld Group and responsible for the Biesterfeld Plastic and Biesterfeld Performance Rubber divisions, will not be renewing his Executive Board contract and is leaving the company at his own request with immediate effect.Peter Wilkes, Executive Board member responsible for the Specialty Chemicals Division, will also assume interim responsibility for the Plastic and Performance Rubber Divisions.

Biesterfeld, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Biesterfeld AG, explains: "I would like to thank Carsten Harms for his enormous services to our company and for the many years of very trusting and successful cooperation. Carsten Harms has built up the Biesterfeld Plastic division into an international market leader for plastic specialties and has developed it in a very sustainable way and developed it very successfully globally in recent years. Carsten Harms has also played a key role in the establishment of the Performance Rubber division and its positive international development. I dearly wish Carsten Harms all the best for the future."
