PETP - Polyethylene Terephthalate
Rynite®
Product description
Rynite® is Celanese’s registered trademark for its thermoplastic polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate (PETP). The Rynite® grades that are modified for injection moulding are reinforced with glass fibres or a combination containing mica (mineral). Some materials are also flame-resistant and UV-stabilised. Rynite® offers outstanding dimensional stability, creep resistance and heat resistance, excellent colour stability, high surface quality and inherently good electrical properties. Rynite® is used in many sectors, such as the automotive, electrical and electronics industries, as well as in household appliances and machine engineering. Brake systems, windscreen wiper arms, motor bearing shields, microswitches, coil formers, photovoltaic modules, lamp sockets, oven handle strips, microwavable dishes, water pumps and iron housings are just a few of the typical applications.
