Biesterfeld Plastic and Solvay conclude the distribution of Polysulfones in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland

Effective from 1st January 2014, Solvay Specialty Polymers Italy S.p.A. and Biesterfeld Plastic GmbH have agreed on a distribution agreement for the distribution of Polysulfones Radel® PPSU, Udel® PSU and Veradel® PESU  in Scandinavia and Finland by Biesterfeld Nordic AB located in Malmö, Sweden.

Sulfone polymers are high-heat plastics with a clear advantage. These amorphous thermoplastics offer more toughness, strength and hydrolytic stability than other transparent plastics. They withstand prolonged exposure to  water, chemicals and temperatures – handling a broad range of end-use temperatures from -40°C to 204°C (-40°F to 400°F).

Dietmar Zinkand, Business Manager Engineering Polymers, comments: „Since the beginning of our cooperation with Solvay Specialty Polymers both companies have agreed on a successive expansion of the Polysulfone distribution throughout Europe. With our regional expansion to Scandinavia as of January 2013, this distribution agreement means another significant step in this direction.”
