Biesterfeld Simko Distribuição Ltda. becomes a public limited company

In January 2017, Brazilian joint venture Biesterfeld Simko Distribuição Ltda., a subsidiary of Biesterfeld Plastic, became a public limited company.

We look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship with our customers and partners and plan to continue the gradual expansion of our product range with our strategic suppliers,” says Carsten Harms, member of the Executive Board of Biesterfeld AG and Managing Director of Biesterfeld Plastic GmbH, Hamburg.

The company will be managed locally under its new name, Biesterfeld Simko Distribuição S.A., by Emilio Colombo and Wanks de Sousa. Both have been managers within the company since it was first established.

Biesterfeld Simko was founded in April 2015 and currently has sites in São Paulo and Florianópolis with a total of 17 employees. Over the last two years, the subsidiary of Biesterfeld Plastic GmbH has enlarged its product and service portfolio with its strategic suppliers. The Brazilian joint venture offers its customers technology-based consulting for plastics, rubbers and additives and, mostly on an exclusive basis, represents world-leading producers such as DuPont, ExxonMobil Chemical, Chi Mei and Borealis.
