Biesterfeld acquires Schütz & Co., Distributor of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients

Effective of August 1, 2016, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has taken ownership of Hamburg-based company, Schütz & Co. (GmbH & Co. KG). The newly acquired business focuses on the distribution of customised active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and excipients. Founded in 1892, Schütz & Co. has numerous long-standing partnerships with well-known manufacturers and supplies leading pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies in more than 50 countries.
