The Liveo™ topical pharmaceutical excipients are silicon-based materials that enable to formulate innovative solutions for the efficient delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients in topical forms like creams lotions, gels ointments, sprays or sticks. Enhanced aesthetics and efficacy help to increase the patient compliance. The volatile silicone fluids are excellent spreading agents due to the low surface tension, are non-greasy and impart a soft silky feel to the skin. They are non-stinging and non-cooling to the skin. Test data generated for prototype formulations demonstrate functional benefits like in vitro drug delivery data based on model drugs.
