PAEK - Polyaryletherketone
AvaSpire® PAEK
Product description
AvaSpire® PAEK (polyaryletherketone) is a family of high-performance polyketones tailored to provide additional cost and performance options between PEEK and other high-performance polymers.
For example, ductility and toughness can be improved over comparable grades of PEEK, resulting in 20% higher elongation at yield and double elongation at break. The strength and rigidity remain comparable, reducing costs by up to 30%. In a direct comparison, the strengths of this product family also include higher rigidity at temperatures of 150°C to 190°C (302°F to 374°F). In accordance with the UL-94 V0 classification, the materials are inherently flame-retardant at a thickness of 0.8 mm. The products also offer excellent aesthetics and colourability.
AvaSpire® PAEK is a family of tailor-made granules and compounds offering specific solutions for components used in the automotive, aerospace, and oil and gas industries, healthcare and other demanding sectors. These materials are available in pure form (standard and high melt flow grades), glass and carbon fibre-reinforced grades (structured grades) and wear-resistant SL grades (lubricated, non-lubricated, load-bearing).
