Product description

Under the name Tego® AddBond and Tego® VariPlus, EVONIK offers a wide range of broadly compatible co-binders for coatings and inks.

The Tego® AddBond products are used as co-binders in solvent and water based industrial coatings, e.g. for the automotive industry, in the field of can & coil or for corrosion protection. These are polyester resins which improve adhesion as well as weather and corrosion resistance. By choosing the right resin the flexibility and hardness of coatings can be affected. They are compatible with most solvents and main binders and can be applied on many substrates.

The Tego® VariPlus series consists of ketone aldehyde resins and derived special resins for application in printing inks and coatings, ball-pin inks, wood and plastic coatings and pigment preparations. They are highly soluble in various organic solvents and have a low intrinsic color. They improve adhesion, drying properties, gloss, hardness and corrosion resistance. Some resins, e.g. Tego® VariPlus LK, support the wetting of pigments.

Tego® AddBond LTH Industrial coatings Solid resin to improve hardness and adhesion on metals, applicable for solvent-based and solvent free systems
Tego® AddBond LTW Industrial coatings Soft version of AddBond LTH, 60% in xylene, to increase flexibility. Also improves pigment wetting and adhesion on metals and plastics
Tego® AddBond LTW-B Industrial coatings Soft version of AddBond LTH, 60% in butyl acetate, to increase flexibility. Also improves pigment wetting and adhesion on metals and plastics
Tego® AddBond 2220 ND Industrial coatings Soft resin, 50% in Naphtha 150, to improve flexibility and adhesion on metals and plastics. In particular applicable for alkyd systems
