Oysterlean™

Product description

The content of Oysterlean™ is 100% CaCO3 biobased and is produced from oyster shells which become a waste at the oyster farms during the harvesting season. The product can replace fossil fuel-based carbon black in rubber products by up to 50%, offering a 80-90% lower carbon footprint compared to equivalent fossil fuel-based alternatives.

CaCO3 is calcareous sediment transformed into hard rocks. Oysterlean™ is a proven bio-renewable (bio-carbon) material according to ASTM D6866 containing carbon-14 (C14), bio calcium carbonate and chitin.
