Hamburg, 13.06.2024 - Networking and sustainability are at the centre of DKT and this is exactly what visitors can experience live at the Biesterfeld booth. The distributor not only has an extensive portfolio for the rubber industry, but will also be presenting new products that are recycled and can be returned to the material cycle. Visitors to booth 405 in hall 9 will have the opportunity to discuss and receive individual and personal advice on how applications and manufacturing processes can be optimised, made more efficient or even more sustainable.
New products in the portfolio
Several new products from the extensive rubber portfolio will be presented at the trade fair. In addition to silicones, EPDM, butyl and isoprene rubbers, carbon black and FKM and HNBR speciality polymers, these include release agents from Chem-Trend, polyethylene waxes and biodegradable waxes from DEUREX, the rubber additive VESTENAMER® from Evonik and rubber powder from Genan.

Genan rubber powder, for example, is extracted and recycled as a secondary raw material from end-of-life tires and can be used in a variety of applications such as profiles, shoe soles, wire and cable insulation, conveyor belts, rollers and shock absorbers after processing. In this way, the recycled rubber is fed back into the material cycle and helps to make production processes more sustainable and reduce CO₂ emissions. The RUBBER+ PREMIXED modifier already consists of rubber powder that has been coated with VESTENAMER® from Evonik. Thanks to the excellent compatibility of VESTENAMER® with Genan's rubber powder, it simplifies the production process and can be optimally integrated into the compound. This saves the customer a production step and makes processing easier.
BIOMERE® from DEUREX are various waxes that are biodegradable and can help to reduce environmental pollution caused by microplastics. They offer the same performance and properties as non-degradable polymers and their versatility makes them interesting for a wide range of production steps.
