Epoxy Resins
Product description
Epoxy resins (EP resins) are one- or two-component systems which react by polyaddition of the epoxy groups to form resistant, thermosetting plastics. EP resins are used as binders for structural laminates, for the encapsulation of electrical components, as an adhesive for metals and as a raw material for casting moulds. They are of higher value than UP and VE resins, but offer the advantage of being able to produce highly temperature resistant fibre composite materials. They have excellent fatigue resistance and are therefore ideally suited for use as a component subject to high dynamic forces. Compared to UP resins, EP resins shrink significantly less during curing and are very dimensionally stable.
