From 4-6 October 2021 the AMI Polymer Sourcing & Distribution Conference will take place in Hamburg, Germany. Through this event, AMI – the leading events organiser in the plastics industry – is bringing together the industry's entire supply chain for the 15th time. Biesterfeld Plastic has been the headline sponsor for the conference since 2007, a role it is reprising again this year.
The three-day event allows the global polymer industry, including polymer producers, distributors, dealers, plastics processors, logistics companies and trademark owners, to network and share knowledge. The programme includes a wide range of presentations on global and regional trends in the procurement and distribution of polymers and raw materials. This year's event will focus on topics such as recycled polymers and the circular economy, the polyolefins market in the Middle East and the impacts of the latest regulations on the European market. Biesterfeld Plastic will also be contributing to the varied programme with a presentation on sales dynamics in Russia. Between the presentations, participants will have ample opportunities for Q&A sessions and discussions.
"Owing to the global pandemic there has been little opportunity over the past two years for companies in the plastics industry to meet face to face. So in what is still in many ways a very challenging situation for our customers, suppliers, OEMs, shipping operators and logistics companies, it's all the more important to encourage personal interaction between businesses in the sector," says Carsten Harms, management spokesperson for Biesterfeld Plastic and member of the Executive Board of the Biesterfeld Group. "Long-term planning remains immensely difficult for all market participants, which is why we are pleased to see so many speakers and guests and looking forward to a very promising event at the beginning of October."
“We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Polymer Sourcing & Distribution conference taking place in Hamburg, Germany. The last year has been a real challenge for everyone, and it's nice to finally be able to plan in-person meetings again. Join us at this established, focused event for the industry,” adds Andrew Reynolds, Director, AMI.
