Biesterfeld Spezialchemie is expanding its partnership with Belgian manufacturer Solvay Fluor for organic fluorinated intermediates. With immediate effect, the distribution rights for the CF3 product portfolio will be extended to include Trifluoroacetic acid ethyl ester (TFAEt), Trifluoroacetic acid methyl ester (TFAMe) and Trifluoroacetone (TFK). An agreement has been in place for a year for drums of Trifluoroethanol (TFE), Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), Trifluoroacetic anhydride (TFAH), Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TA) and Trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride (TAA) in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. The distribution area will now be expanded to include Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Organic fluorinated intermediates are primarily used as synthetic building blocks in the production of agrochemicals and pharmaceutical active ingredients, including the introduction of the trifluoromethyl group.
"We're delighted to be able to offer our customers even more products from the CF3 portfolio. This will enable us to respond even better to sustained high demand, especially in the agrochemicals and pharmaceutical industries," says Dr. Fritjof Weidner, Market Manager Advanced Intermediates, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie. "The expansion of the distribution area means that our Nordic customers can now also benefit from our extensive portfolio," adds Elmar Braasch, Senior Sales Manager Advanced Intermediates, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie.
"Biesterfeld has proven to be a strong partner. We like to work with experienced and reliable sales partners, such as Biesterfeld and their local offices. Hereby, we ensure a commercial and logistical service at the highest level for our customers," says René Haak, Sales Manager Solvay Fluor GmbH.
